For capacity reasons, various smaller measures are also planned at Fulda station. Due to the limited contrast between the two routes, the preliminary planning phase should include a thorough investigation and planning of regional planning variant VII, in addition to the variant submitted for the regional planning procedure (ROV variant IV). Both variants begin at Gelnhausen station.
