The tender was published by Berlin transport company purchasing materials management department on 26 Nov 2025 for Position Lot 1 Hermannstra e HMS to Heinrich-Heine Stra e He The Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe is modernizing and digitizing its control and safety technology with CBTC Communications-Based Train Control on the U8 subway line For this purpose cable and cable route work is being carried out at the subway stations and tunnel routes on Hermannstrasse Leinestrasse Boddinstrasse Hermannplatz Sch nleinstrasse Kottbusser Tor Moritzplatz and Heinrich-Heine-Strasse The total length is approx 5 600 m and is divided into 9 tunnel sections with a length of 4 400 m and 8 train stations with a total length of 1 200 m Hermannstrasse HMS Two layers of cable routing must be renewed under the platform according to the BVG standard to approx 10m To do this all cables must be removed from the cable guide and reinserted after completion of the route work On the tunnel section from Hermannstrasse to Leinestrasse on Gl 1 to create space for new cables old cables must be bundled dismantled and new cable trays installed This applies to cable and cable route work on the tunnel wall and at the ceiling transitions E s are at the ceiling transition Eq 1 to install new trusses and KHI s for cable routing on the tunnel ceiling and to dismantle the old KDA 2 To do this cables must be laid out and re-inserted and bundled after the route work has been completed An additional P-Bahn section of approx 30 m will also need to be renewed Leinestrasse L The complete cable routing under the platform is shown in Eq 1 must be dismantled and all cables laid in a cable duct laid by the contractor during construction A 5-layer cable duct must then be set up according to the BVG standard and all cables must be laid from the duct into the new duct On the Leinestrasse to Boddinstrasse tunnel section on Gl 1 old cables must be bundled and dismantled on the tunnel wall and at the ceiling transitions to make room for new cables At the ceiling transition from Leinestrasse to Boddinstrasse Gl 1 new trusses and KHI s as well as a new P-rail must be installed at approx 15m To do this signal cables must be laid out dismantled and then reinserted and bundled once the route work has been completed Old cable routing elements also have to be adapted and new cable trays installed at the emergency exits on the tunnel route.
