The HWS GmbH Purchasing Department in Germany from Europe region had released this tender for Supplying a carbon source The subject of the contract is the delivery of approximately 1 200 t of a carbon-containing substance which will be used as an additional carbon source in the activation of the Halle-Nord sewage treatment plant during the entire term on the basis of the attached framework agreement The client estimates the purchase quantity to be around 1 200 t Since the actual purchase quantity depends on the required dosage of the quantity with regard to the desired biological degradation process as well as on the composition of the wastewater in the activation and the respective temperatures the actual purchase quantity cannot be predicted The contractor must therefore expect volume reductions of 20 and volume increases of at least 20 in the 24-month period with regard to the required dosage due to the condition of the wastewater It can also be assumed that deliveries will not be made continuously in the same quantities during the year but that the delivery quantities can be subject to significant fluctuations In addition the contractor guarantees that the carbon source he supplies does not contain any substances that have a negative impact on the biological degradation process in the activation of a sewage treatment plant The product must not contain any water-polluting or settleable substances The contractor further guarantees that the product he delivers during the contract term has the product properties that correspond to the product data sheet safety data sheet and material sample handed over as part of the offer submission The client reserves the right to carry out a luminescent bacterial toxicity test according to DIN EN ISO 11348-1 2009-05 and a nitrification inhibition test according to DIN EN ISO 9509 L38 2006-10 to ensure that the compatibility with the biological degradation process is guaranteed According to DWA information sheet 115-2 Appendix A The contract begins on April 1 2026 The contract ends on March 31 2028 without the need for termination However the client is granted the right to extend the term of the contract by a unilateral declaration for another year i e until March 31 2029 under the same conditions extension option of the client if he exercises this extension option in text form by September 15 2027 at the latest and the contractor does not object to this extension option in text form within 14 calendar days of receipt of the declaration about the exercise of the extension option in text form If the contractor objects to the extension option in a timely manner the contract will end on March 31 2028 The remaining terms and conditions of the contract processing and the contract conditions result from the attached framework agreement with tender notice no.
