Speed (RPM) should not be greater than ±5% of the displayed speed. 5. The centrifuge should have a minimum of 12 place rotor for 2ml to 10ml tubes 6. Must be supplied with the test tube adapter where necessary 7. The centrifuge should have a programmable digital timer. It is preferred that the timer be adjustable in one-minute increments. 8. The timer should have a timing range of at least one hour. 9. The centrifuge will have an alert indicator for imbalance, current, and lid open. 10. The centrifuge should have an alert indicator when cycles completely stop. 11. The centrifuge should not operate with lid open. It is preferred that the centrifuge have a lid interlock. 12. The proposed centrifuge should have the following parameters: a. Maximum speed (minimum 8000 ±10% RPM) b. Rotational centrifugal force (RCF) (minimum 2086g) c. Type of rotor head (swinging bucket) d. Braking type should be electric e. Display type digital f. RPM or rotor calibration method (e.g., tachometer) 13.
