Provision of security services for the building facilities of the General State Archives (GAK) of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports (Y.PEI.THA) for 32 months plus 12 months of option

The MINISTRY OF RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AND SPORTS in Greece from Europe region has released this tender for Open Electronic Tender above the thresholds for the conclusion of a contract for the selection of a contractor for the provision of security services, to cover the building facilities needs of the General State Archives (GAK) of the Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports, for a period of thirty-two (32) months and with the possibility of extension for one (1) additional year and in accordance with the technical specifications of Annex I of this announcement, for the conclusion of a contract with a total budget of €11,500,000 plus VAT 24% or €14,260,000.00 including VAT 24%, including the right of option. This contract is not divided into sections, given that the building facilities of the General State Archives, in which the security services will be provided, are located in different geographical areas throughout the Territory and the effective execution of the object requires unified operational coordination, joint supervision and unified management of security incidents. In particular, to ensure the smooth and effective provision of security services in the individual buildings of the General State Archives, a Signal Reception Center is required to operate on a 24-hour basis, through which continuous communication with the security personnel, the central management of incidents and the coordination of the required intervention will be ensured. In case of need, the Center should have the ability to provide instructions and coordinate the security personnel, as well as to mobilize the foreseen immediate intervention means (patrol vehicles), where required. The subdivision of the contract and the assignment of individual sections to different contractors would entail the parallel operation of different administration, communication, supervision and incident management mechanisms, increasing the complexity of the coordination and monitoring of the services and creating a risk of differentiation of the incident response procedures between the individual facilities.
