Contractors on the List of Approved Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Buildings (Group C)’ or confirmed contractors on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Air-conditioning Installation (Group II)’ or joint ventures with participation of local and/or overseas contractors with the lead participant or the major shareholder being a contractor on the List of Approved Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Buildings (Group C)’ or a confirmed contractor on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Air-conditioning Installation (Group II)’ who also meet the following qualifications and other conditions for participation stipulated in the tender documents are invited to tender: Required qualifications / experience stipulated in Stage I Screening (1) The tenderer or the lead participant or major shareholder in a joint venture tenderer: (i) must be on the List of Approved Contractors for Public Works in Group C for Buildings Category; OR (ii) must be in confirmed status on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works in Group II for Air-conditioning Installation Category. AND (2) The tenderer or anyone of the participants/ shareholders in a joint venture tenderer: (i) must have completedat least one (1) design and build contract in or outside Hong Kong with an adjusted original contract sum not less than HK$335 million within the past 10 years counting from and including the original date set for the close of tender (i.e. between 18 Aug 2013 and 18 Aug 2023); and (ii) must have completed at least one (1) contract for the operation and maintenance of District Cooling System (the service) with at least 15MW installed cooling capacity in or outside Hong Kong with duration not less than 2 consecutive years within the past 10 years, or is undertaking an on-going contract with the service that has commenced for a period not less than 2 consecutive years counting from and including the original date set for the close of tender (i.e. between 18 Aug 2013 and 18 Aug 2023). Contractors not yet on the List of Approved Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Buildings (Group C)’ or on the List of Approved Suppliers of Materials and Specialist Contractors for Public Works under the category of ‘Air-conditioning Installation (Group II)’ may also submit a tender if they submit a request for participation together with a duly completed application for inclusion in the above-mentioned approved list/category by 1 August 2023 to Miss. LING Ka-yu, Energy Efficiency Office, 7/F, Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, 3 Kai Shing Street, Kowloon, Hong Kong, meet the qualifications and conditions for participation, and the application for inclusion is duly approved on or before the tendering closing date.
