Biogas engine renovation and related works

The TETTYE FORRÁSHÁZ Pécs Municipal Water Utility Operation Private Limited Company in Hungary from Europe region has released this tender for Partial renovation of biogas plant gas engines and related construction works for Tettye Forrásház Zrt. Replacement of the Perkins 4008-30 TRS2 type engine block of the ENER-G 500B type biogas engine with a nominal electrical power of 506 kW operating in the biogas plant located at the wastewater treatment plant of the Pécs-centered agglomeration (7634 Pécs, Állomás utca 40.) operated by TETTYE FORRÁSHÁZ Zrt. Regular, monthly maintenance performed by a specialized service ensures the current reliable operation of the engine, while the operating time of the equipment is approaching the planned service life of 48,000 operating hours specified by the manufacturer. Further operation may pose an increased risk as the critical number of operating hours approaches. In order to maintain safe and continuous operation, the replacement of the engine block becomes justified. In addition to replacing the engine block, the construction work also includes replacing the exhaust gas heat exchanger of biogas engine No. 1. The existing exhaust gas heat exchanger is punctured and worn out, therefore its continued safe use is not ensured. In addition, the plate heat exchangers of biogas engines No. 1 (identification number: 2538) and No. 2 (identification number: 2535) are also due for replacement. The construction work also includes the complete renovation and repair of the container structure of biogas engine No. 2, the elimination of corrosion, mechanical and water penetration defects, the restoration of water tightness, and the corrosion protection surface treatment of the container structure, which covers the entire structure of the container, including the roof structure and masonry. The container is exposed to increased corrosion stress due to the biogas plant environment, outdoor location, increased humidity, and exposure to hydrogen sulfide, and the containers sealing material is aged. The newly installed equipment must match the currently operating types in terms of technical parameters, design, size, and connection points, or must be fully compatible with them.
