The Service Provider is responsible for: 1-Transport Program team for outreach meetings with local community, participants and coordination meetings relating to program activities within the districts mentioned above. 2-Provide daily transportation from Ninawa City - Ninawa Governorate to field locations and any other relevant transportation for the program activities within the districts mentioned. 3- Provide transportation service to Heartland Alliance Staff to/from Ninawa City - Ninawa Governorate from/to Erbil or Sulaymaniyah Governorate and from/to Ninawa or Kirkuk Governorate when needed. 4- Cooperate and be of assistance to staff and visitors – assist in troubleshooting potential problems during daily business. 5-The driver will adhere to all traffic and HEARTLAND ALLINACE safety rules and follow the transport guidelines required by the HEARTLAND ALLINACE Operations/transport department. JOB FUNCTIONS: - The Service Provider will be managed in his day-to-day activities by Operation Officer, or as assigned by the line manager. - The Service Provider will be assigned duties on weekends, holidays, and after normal working hours if required subject to the Service Provider’s discretion. - The Service Provider will provide a vehicle(s) in roadworthy condition, and will regularly check engine, brakes, air condition, tires, etc. and repair or replace as needed. - Vehicles will be subject to regular inspection by Heartland Alliance reserves the right to reject any vehicle or service which does not meet its agreed specifications. - Where service is rejected due to a failure to meet project specifications, and/or where failure to ensure secure and safe transport results in HAI’s rejection of the service, and/or any damage or loss occurring to the vehicle during the services, any financial cost will be borne solely by the Service Provider . - HEARTLAND ALLINACE will not be responsible for any damage, labor, service, or parts. - The Service Provider will ensure that the vehicle is equipped with the following:  functioning seat belts  spare tire  first aid kit  fire extinguisher  basic tool kit - The Service Provider must be respectful to HEARTLAND ALLINACE passengers, ensure passengers are provided with the maximum comfort levels possible (e.g., using heaters and A/C when appropriate), and abide by HAI’s Code of Conduct and general guidelines for vehicle usage provided by HAI. - Only the Service Provider will be allowed to drive the vehicle during normal use. Under exceptional circumstances (for example, where the security of HEARTLAND ALLINACE staff is considered to be at risk) someone else from HEARTLAND ALLINACE staff may drive the vehicle to a safe destination. - Only HEARTLAND ALLINACE personnel, and/or other persons authorized by HAI, may be carried in vehicles while in service. - Only HEARTLAND ALLINACE materials/goods, or other items authorized by HEARTLAND ALLINACE may be transported in the Contractor’s vehicle while the said vehicle in service to HAI. - No weapons or illegal materials/goods may be carried in the vehicle at any time. - Transport of contraband or prohibited items is strictly prohibited. Any violation of this regulation will give HEARTLAND ALLINACE the option of terminating this contract, without notice. - In the event a vehicle(s) break(s) down, the Contractor shall make all necessary arrangements for immediate replacement of the said vehicle(s) while the original vehicle(s) is being repaired. - The Contractor will retain sole responsibility for any injuries, death, loss or damage sustained to third parties resulting from the operation of vehicles under hire by HAI. - Heartland Alliance will not hold any responsibility of vehicles or the drivers in case of accidents. - This vehicle will carry HEARTLAND ALLINACE members to designated areas whenever needed. - The contractor must adhere to Heartland Alliance Safety and Security procedures as explained by Safety and Security Department. - Normal Wor Heartland Alliance International (HAI), the international arm of Heartland Alliance, Inc.
