Tender Summary
The UN Secretariat in Iraq from Middle East region had released this tender for 1.0 The United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI) on behalf of UN-Habitat intends to solicit proposals for the Rehabilitation of 153 Damaged Houses in Sinjar District, Ninewa Governorate, Iraq.
2.0 The solicitation will be based on detailed Statement of Works (SoW), Bill of Quantities (BoQ), Technical Specifications, UN General Conditions of Contracts and other related documents which will be provided by UNAMI to all companies who respond to this EOI and qualify for the tender.
3.0 The project consists of:
(i) Furnishing of all necessary tools, materials, equipment, skilled manpower, transportation, machinery, accessories, and supervision to carry out all works as described below:
a. Removing all damaged parts and disposal of material to dumping location approved by local authorities.
b. Repairing, replacing, and construction of damaged housing parts such as but not limited to roof opening casting, floor casting, and concrete block walls.
c. Maintenance of existing house components such as doors, windows, toilets, etc.…
d. Finishing works such plastering, painting, installation of new doors, installation of new windows etc...
e. Supply and install WASH items such as toilet seats, wash basins, sinks, sewage pipes, water pipes, water tanks, etc...
f. Supply and install electrical items such as electrical cables, sockets, switches, distribution boards and breakers, lighting fixtures, etc...
g. Handing over the completed units to the parties concerned, UN-Habitat, local authorities, and the beneficiary.
4.0 For this purpose, UNAMI will undertake a competitive bidding exercise shortly, accordingly would issue a Tender to those companies who would express their interest and provide initial relevant information as to their ability to fulfill UNAMI's requirement.
5.0 In addition, the interested companies are requested to complete their registration at Level-2 on the United Nations Global Marketplace (www.ungm.org).
6.0 Please note the following:
a) This EOI is not an invitation for submission of a bid/proposal.
b) UNAMI reserves the right in selecting the invitees for the competitive bidding based on substantial and proven records of performance in the subject field of activities and mere expressing an interest would not automatically warrant for tender document.

Tender Description
