The Occupational therapist will work closely with the support services, enabling cross-referrals where appropriate. • 1:1 occupational therapy sessions/group sessions and follow up to eligible students, including development of resources and materials to support students. • Work with the students around academic, social, work placement difficulties, developing personal and practical self management strategies to assist them to participate fully in college life. • Liaise with and advise the Assistive Technology coordinator on recommendations for technology. • Refer to internal and external services as appropriate, e.g. Student Health Unit, Student Counselling Service. Work in liaison with the Access & Disability Officer, Student Health Unit, Student Counselling Service and Mental Health and Well Being support workers to develop a life skills programme tailored for the above students to run over 6 week periods during term time. Report writing outlining qualitative/quantitative benefits to engagement with the Service with identification for developments.
