This request intends to receive information to identify suppliers with verified technical and financial capacity to provide the goods.
The gathered information and outcome of this RFI will help the UN to acquire information about current available solutions, technical specifications, materials, compliance to related standards and certifications, cost estimation, that will be instrumental to subsequently develop the Statement of Requirement (SOR) aiming to meet the operational requirements of Peacekeeping and Special Political Missions worldwide.

- All costs for preparing a response for the RFI must be covered by the vendor.
- The requested information will only be used by the UN for internal planning purposes,
be kept strictly confidential and only authorized personnel will have access to it.
- The response to this RFI will not be used to pre-qualify vendors.

5. Basic Requirements:
(NOTE: these are minimum and basic requirements, respondents shall present what is currently
available in the market, proposing any improved/new feature, if any)
I. Armory Container Units
The proposed armory container units shall:
- be supplied in 20 feet standard size, to accommodate no.4 working stations
- be supplied in 10 feet standard size, to accommodate no.2 working stations
- be manufactured and tested according to latest ISO standards
- be provided with standard corner fittings and lashing points for ease of movement
- be suitable for critical harsh weather and environmental conditions, and for different climate zones
(e.g., desert, tropical country, etc.)
- provided with fully equipped electrical system comprised of power outlets, lighting fixtures, including heavy duty connectors and power input cables for connection to power supply (electrical grid or generator)
- provided with internal telephone and LAN wiring
- provided with air conditioning and dehumidifying system
- provided with proper thermal insulation
- provided with easily maintainable white interior surface finishings
- provided with internal alarm system with wireless connectivity
- be suitable for the installation of CCTV system (interior and exterior areas)
- be equipped with lockable racks to store weapons and ammunition, modular solutions, very
indicative but not exhaustive list here provided, to consider all latest modifications, where applicable:

o Glock G-19
o Benelli, Super 90
o M-16, M-4
- Be equipped with no.4 desks and chairs, for 20 feet size
- Be equipped with no.2 desks and chairs, for 10 feet size
- Be ready and quick to install at site
II. Cashier Container Units
The proposed cashier container units shall:
- be supplied in 20 feet standard size, to accommodate no.4 working stations
- be supplied in 10 feet standard size, to accommodate no.2 working stations
- be manufactured and tested according to latest ISO standards
- be provided with standard corner fittings and lashing points for ease of movement
- be suitable for critical harsh weather and environmental conditions, and for different climate zones
(e.g., desert, tropical country, etc.)
- provided with fully equipped electrical system comprised of power outlets, lighting fixtures,
including heavy duty connectors and power input cables for connection to power supply
(electrical grid or generator)
- provided with internal telephone and LAN wiring
- provided with air conditioning and dehumidifying system
- provided with proper thermal insulation
- provided with easily maintainable white interior surface finishings
- provided with internal alarm system with wireless connectivity
- be suitable for the installation of CCTV system (interior and exterior areas)
- offer a minimum ballistic protection of level III, according to NIJ0108.01, and FB5, according to
EN1522, or to any other equivalent international standard
- be equipped with lockable storage units with drawers, modular solutions
- be equipped with fireproof safe, minimum weight 350 kg, with both key and built-in combination lock,
attached at the container, but easily removable
- be equipped with no.4 desks and chairs, for 20 feet size
- be equipped with no.2 desks and chairs, for 10 feet size
6. Documents submittals
a. Cover Letter
The cover letter shall include the following:
- The legal name and address of respondent
- The name, title and telephone number of the individual authorized to submit information
- A statement that the respondent has read, understands, and agrees to all provisions of the RFI
b. Presentation of proposed solutions:
Respondents shall present the proposed items in relation to all the minimum features mentioned in
this RFI.
Submissions shall clearly address the technical specifications of the containerized units,
in relation to the materials, equipment, furniture requested, specifying all the standards they comply
to, and also detailing which certifications the containers comply to, e.g. CSC, TIR, TCT, etc.
Information shall be provided by submitting brief and clear explanations, by technical brochures
and drawings of available products.
c. Installation Methodology:
Respondents shall include brief explanation of installation process:
number of required personnel on site, required expertise, equipment needed and any other relevant.
d. Cost estimates
Respondents should also provide an indicative estimated cost for the supply of each requested
typology
