The Executing Agency of the project is the Planning Institute of Jamaica (PIOJ) in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, particulady the Public Gardens Division and the Rural Agricultural Development Authority, as well as the National Environment and Planning Agency The PIOJ intends to award a contract for the Repair of Gazebos and Walkways at Castleton Botanical Gardens, including: (a) Five (5) Gazebos - the supply and installation of roofing (ridge boards, rafters, laths, cedar shingles, fascia boards, hurricane straps and aluminium guttering), as well as painting and limited electrical and carpentry works; and (b) two (2) walkways - the provision of labour and materials to construct two (2) walkways of 1:3 slope inclusive of all reinforcement, formwork and masonry work with broom finish; handrailings to one side finished with two coats oil paint. The walkways are 1 80m wide x 4.00m long and 1 80m wide x 106.50m long, respectively. Interested parties are asked to submit a letter declaring their interest, in electronic format to projectsjobs@pioj.gov.jm no later than May 19, 2023.
