Project Overview
The Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) is seeking to aid the residents and farmers with access to basic social services and improvements in their livelihood particularly with the aim of reducing post-harvest losses & maintaining existing markets.
Objective
The primary objective is to conduct an overall environmental assessment of the impact of the proposed Hall’s Delight Road Rehabilitation Project on the surrounding environs. While this is NOT an environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA), the flora and fauna and natural water features and soil type and other aspects of the environment should be considered. The Consultancy will also be required to screen the project for climate change and disaster risks.
The assessment must be fulfilled according to the requirements of the local authoritative body, that is, the National Environmental Planning Agency (NEPA). The Consultant must seek NEPA’s guidance on the requirements for this specific environmental assessment for the Hall’s Delight Road Rehabilitation Project.
