Tenders are invited for Consultancy Academic Program Program: 4th Regional Congress on the Death Penalty – Jordan Since 2000, Together against the Death Penalty (Ecpm) has been Fighting against Capital Punishment at the International Level. The French Association Endeavors to Federate and Mobilize International Abolitionist Forces, to Encourage Universal Abolition through Education, Information and Awareness-Raising of Public Opinion, to Strengthen the Capacities of Abolitionist Civil Society, and Finally to to Act in Favor of Those Sentenced to Death Throughout the World ( Http://www.abolition.fr ). · Federating Abolitionists to Gain Efficiency In may 2002, Ecpm was behind the Creation of the World Coalition against the Death Penalty ( Http://www.worldcoalition.org ) Composed of More than 150 Members including Associations (Amnesty International, Human Right Watch , Fidh, etc., Bar Associations, Local Authorities and Trade Unions, the World Coalition Aims to Strengthen the International Dimension of the Fight against the Death Penalty. Since the Independence of the Latter (January 2012), Ecpm has Maintained an Active Role with the World Coalition as a Member of the Executive Bureau and the Steering Committee. Ecpm is behind the World Congresses against the Death Penalty, Which it Organizes Every Three Years (Strasbourg 2001, Montreal 2004, Paris 2007, Geneva 2010, Madrid 2013, Oslo 2016, Brussels 2019, Berlin 2022) and Which Bring Together Civil Society and Political Representatives to Define the Strategies to be Followed at the International Level. A Unifier of Civil Society since its Creation, Ecpm is Also Today a Privileged Partner of States and Parliamentarians in Bringing a Common Plea against the Death Penalty. · Strengthen the Capacities of Local Actors and Act with Them Ecpm Works with Local Actors in Countries Where There are Signs of Openness in Favor of Abolition or a Civil Society Wishing to Bring the Debate on Abolition to its Country. The Association Accompanies Coalitions of Actors in Morocco and the Arab World, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, in Cameroon and in Central Africa, and More Recently in South East Asia, in Order to Give Substance to the Desire for Change in Favor of Abolition. · Plea for Universal Abolition Ecpm Carries out Advocacy Campaigns in Favor of the Abolition of the Death Penalty Wherever its Possibilities of Action Represent an Added Value. Quiet Diplomacy, Media Mobilization, Reporting, Promotion of International Treaties, Etc. Ecpm's Action is Adapted to the Cause Defended and is Developed in Consultation with its Partners Who are Experts in the Subject Defended in Order to Guarantee the Success of the Campaigns. · Educate and Raise Awareness about the Abolition of the Death Penalty At an Age when the Distinction between Revenge and Justice is in the Process of being Acquired, Education in the Abolition of the Death Penalty is Particularly Necessary. Accredited by the National Education Department, Ecpm, in Collaboration with Teachers, Continues its Educational Action in the Less Privileged French Colleges and High Schools, in Order to Encourage Students to Commit Themselves to Human Rights and to Develop a Independent Thinking on the Issue of the Death Penalty. Ecpm is Also Continuing its Educational Action with Local Players in Non-Abolitionist Countries, with the Support of the International Abolition Education Network Which it Coordinates.
