Tender Purpose: The office of the Norwegian Refugee Council invites your company to apply for the MERO-environment Risk Mitigation Consultancy. The objectives of this Consultancy is: Train NRC WASH, Shelter, LFS staff of NRC at regional and global level on the foundations of regenerative design and permaculture as a way to mitigate environmental degradation in humanitarian response and improve NRC projects’ environmental assessment scoring. Mentor NRC field staff in the application of regenerative design principles in their daily work and active projects. Assist NRC to apply regenerative design and permaculture principles to improve energy, water and waste management practices and infrastructure in NRC offices premises. Using the demonstration done in a selected country office, and consultation done with Shelter/WASH/LFS NRC staff at country/regional/global level: provide expert recommendations to NRC on inclusion of regenerative designs and permaculture in NRC strategies, response policies and projects as a way to mitigate environmental degradation in NRC humanitarian response and improve NRC projects’ environmental assessment scoring. Specific deliverables and timeframe for delivery have been outlined in ToRs ‘’Annex 2 TOR’’.
