The project will introduce agriculture and health awareness raising initiatives to 20 school as part of extra-curricular activities; support training on agriculture and business skills development for 100 women and youth; and support 55 SMEs on climate smart agriculture practices and green entrepreneurship training and mentoring and provision of climate-smart agriculture technologies, its operations and maintenance. The overall objective of the project is to enhance adaptive capacity, strengthening resilience and reducing vulnerability to climate change of Kiribati island communities through a technology, education and capacity building and livelihoods development program for the agriculture sector. Proposed Activities; Specifically, under Outcome 1 of the project, Activity 2.5 that is focused on providing schools with climate smart technologies will facilitate the following; (i) Purchase of 16 tanks that will be supplied to 8 schools in South Tarawa namely: S/n Name of School Location 1 Aratokotoko Primary School Buota 2 Dai Nippon Primary School Betio 3 Rurubao Primary School Bairiki 4 St John Primary School Betio 5 Taakenibwairiki Primary School Bairiki 6 Tabontemwaneaba Primary School Bikenibeu 7 Temwanoku Primary School Betio 8 War memorial Primary School Bikenibeu.
