Tenders are invited for Capacity Building - Consultant for Youth. Closing Date: Wednesday, 12. Apr 2023 Intervention Sector(s): Agriculture Remuneration range: 1000 to 2000 (USD) Duration of Contract: 2 Months 1. Project Background: The Implementation of new plastic greenhouses with irrigation systems and supply of all seedlings, fertilizers, and pesticides to improve the livelihood status of 41 vulnerable farmers in the North and South of Lebanon. 2. Purpose of the Consultancy: Anera is seeking a short-term consultant to assist farmers in developing and implementing a marketing strategy that would enable them to sell their crops more effectively, this plan should include a review of the local market demand for various crops, an assessment of the competition, and a strategy for pricing and promoting the crops. The development and implementation of a Capacity Building Session Plan to equip the farmers with the skills and knowledge necessary to execute the Marketing Plan effectively that includes training sessions on strategies to improve their sales and generate and track income. Requirements of the Consultancy:  Site visits to Akkar and South regions to gain an overview of farmers marketing methodologies, demographics and background;  Develop and execute a marketing and business strategy for farmers with the objective of increasing their HH profit margin from their harvest; o E.g.: Agri businesses, online presence, partnerships with different stakeholders, restaurants, Hesbe, reduce the middleman profit  Capacity building for farmers on marketing and business strategy / plan, including any technical skills needed to support in implementation  Up to 6 sessions in total for Akkar and South (e.g.: 3 in Akkar; 3 in South) o 20 farmers in Akkar o 21 farmers in South 3. Target Audience: The target audience includes 41 Farmers from both areas: 21 Akkar; 20 South 4. Expected Outputs: The expected outputs of the consultancy are as follows: ● Development of a Marketing Plan for the farmers ● Development and implementation of a Capacity Building Session Plan to equip the farmers with the skills and knowledge necessary to execute the marketing plan effectively. ● Preparation of a final report, which includes an evaluation of the effectiveness of the Marketing Plan 5. Qualifications: The consultant should possess the following qualifications and experience: ● Experience in marketing, capacity building, or related fields, preferably with knowledge / background in agriculture. ● Knowledge and experience in working with farmers and understanding their needs ● Experience in designing and delivering capacity-building programs for farmers ● Ability to design and deliver interactive and participatory training sessions ● Strong communication and interpersonal skills ● Fluency in Arabic
