Key Task and Responsibilities Troubleshooting Internet connection for desktops, laptops, and Internet when requested Troubleshooting email access problems (sending/receiving) Troubleshooting Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) Troubleshooting printing, scanning and faxing problems Escalating and coordinating with third party suppliers of hardware when required. Anti-virus disinfection and data recovery. Maintenance of hardware. Software installations, patching and system upgrades. Provide advice on any technical issues. System cleaning and checking, provision and verifying of backup data. Add/change/delete email accounts Validate backup of electronic data performed through the backup server Confirm IT purchase requests, confirm and track IT invoices, assist with IT forecasting Build specifications and design documents for new requested software to improve operations Assist negotiating terms, contracts, and maintenance with third party suppliers if any Perform updates of critical patches on servers and critical applications Perform disk cleanup and systems check on scheduled basis Ensure appropriate backup of servers and systems Recover as best as possible systems and data from crashed applications Recommend failover and disaster recovery procedures were applicable to minimize risk of failure and ensure continuity of business operations while systems are being recovered.
