He/she will also guide and provide support for the design of 3 storytelling forums and assist storytellers from organizations in developing their stories to ensure that the project effectively conveys the experiences of women in food and nutrition systems, ultimately advancing the project’s mission.
The storyteller will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Develop global monitoring tools for storytelling components.
- Participate in planning meetings with project team.
- Revise the forum storytelling guidance document developed by the NGLC.
- Support the design of the format of the story telling forums through developing prompts and guidance that encourage interactive and meaningful discussions among participants.
- Suggest strategies to engage the forum participants and encourage discussion and reflection.
- Attend 9 preparatory meetings with the designated organizations.
- Provide storytelling skill-building sessions (3 in total) to ensure that storytellers have the capacity to develop and present their stories.
- Offer feedback and revisions to improve the clarity and effectiveness of each story.
- Attend the three resulting Forums and provide feedback and guidance for improvements.
Duration of the Project: October 2023 – February 15th, 2024.
Qualifications
- Excellent knowledge and global experience in storytelling.
- Strong communication, facilitation and training skills.
- Previous experience with carrying out interactive storytelling.
- Previous experience in using storytelling in advocacy initiatives.
- Willing and able to work in a team.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
