Tender Description
Lekhnath Damauli 220 kV transmission line Project is considered as the power evacuation lines that Madi and Upper Seti Storage HEP whereas the number of projects is in pipeline of the construction. The live line length resulted in frequent supply outages and voltage drop problems. To improve the supply situation in the area and to evacuate power from hydropower plants in the area, the Lekhnath Damauli 220 kV transmission line project is proposed to be constructed by Nepal Electricity Authority, Transmission Line/Substation Construction Department. The purpose of the project is the expansion and strengthening of the Nepalese power grid infrastructure for the efficient transmission of electricity from hydropower into the Integrated Nepalese Power System (INPS) and thereby contributing to increased power supply, reducing transmission losses, and avoiding CO2 emissions. The project is located at Kaski and Tanahun districts of Gandaki Zone, the detailed survey of the transmission line has been carried out to transmit the power by 220 kV Transmission Line from Lekhnath substation at Upper Seti Storage HEP Switchyard. The proposed transmission line could be utilized for the power evacuation from the Upper Seti Storage HEP and Madi corridor to the corridor interconnection link.
