As a part of the program, GGGI partnered with Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in Nepal to submit a proposal to the Mitigation Action Facility’s (MAF) Ambition Initiative Call in 2022. The title of the project is “Sustainable Electric Transport for Nepal (SET4NPL)”. The project focuses on deployment of electric minibuses in the country. In addition to the SET4NPL, GGGI is providing policy and technical advisory support to the Government of Nepal and partners for effective and efficient transition to electric mobility. GGGI has recently approved a project to support deployment of electric public vehicles in the highway connecting Pokhara and Bharatpur as well as intercity routes of Pokhara and Bharatpur. The objective of this assignment is to select a competent consultancy firm (hereinafter referred to as ‘Firm’) to develop a more in-depth techno-feasibility study, understand challenges and opportunities that will support deployment of electric buses in an intercity route (between Pokhara and Bharatpur) and intracity route (routes identified within Pokhara and Bharatpur). The Firm shall carry out a pre-feasibility study in Phase I and full feasibility study in Phase II for deployment of electric buses in the intercity route and intracity routes identified. with tender notice no. 100008730 published on 17 Aug 2023.
