Tender Summary
The Waterways and Shipping Authority Mittelland Canal / Elbe Lateral Canal in Netherlands from Europe region had released this tender for To create a digital terrain model of the Rhine River's course in the Lower Rhine region, a total of 48 bridges and 33 control areas for verifying other laser data must be measured. These are divided into three lots according to region (Lot 1 "Lower Rhine North", Lot 2 "Lower Rhine Central", and Lot 3 "Lower Rhine South"). The surfaces and bridge foundation structures to be recorded are to be captured using terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) at a specified water level. It should be emphasized that the measurement of the bridge roadway is not relevant, and no derived 3D model of the bridge or its foundation structures is to be provided. The data collection will be carried out by the contractor (AN) upon request from the client (AG). The contractor will use a terrestrial laser scanner to record the described control areas, which will serve as a reference for quality assurance of other laser measurements. The primary focus is on capturing as complete a record as possible of all roof surfaces to ensure reliable verification of airborne laser scanning data. Shading at ground level or on facades caused by parked vehicles, trees, etc., is permissible, provided that sufficient ground area is still covered to ensure correct alignment and evaluation of the control areas. For each control area, at least two strategically chosen scanner locations must be set up so that their fields of view overlap and, in particular, the sloping roof surfaces are fully covered from different angles (see Figure 1). If these two positions are insufficient due to shading, the number of positions may be increased flexibly until complete roof coverage is demonstrably achieved. The measurements must be carefully recorded and georeferenced. Classification of these point clouds is not required. Erroneous measurements must be removed. The measurements must be carried out during the vegetation-free period (December 1, 2026 to March 30, 2027). with tender notice no. 676487-2026 published on 07 Oct 2026.
