Challenge Are you... .. the Domain Architect with a focus on Workplace and Backup who, from within our Cloud and Platform team, develops and monitors the design, policy, and guidelines for our workplace within the Cloud, and additionally contributes ideas and works on the right technical choices within our Cloud solution? The provincial organization is undergoing significant changes, partly due to a renewed outsourcing of ICT services, of which the move to the Cloud is a component. The Province has recognized that a Domain Architect is necessary within the organization to manage the entire transition to working under architecture, including drafting the reference architecture, our requirements, and, together with the supplier, arriving at a roadmap and optimal configuration of our environment. We are currently looking for a Domain Architect for our Cloud workplace, based on Microsoft 365, Intune, and AVD. This architect will also have the backup environment, which is based on Commvault Cloud, within their scope. Working within an architectural framework is one of the key areas where you feel at home as an architect. Drafting designs, governance, personas, requirements, and policies regarding the workplace and the cloud are familiar activities to you. You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Conditional Access, Azure AD, and Intune security guidelines regarding the workplace, as well as good knowledge of Azure Cloud, PaaS and SaaS services, and big data concepts. Additionally, you have knowledge of Commvault, preferably a SaaS solution, and know how to further develop and apply it. You also have hands-on experience drafting designs and testing them. Furthermore, you are familiar with setting up governance around the Cloud and how to translate business needs into workplace solutions. You do this using your experience with frameworks such as TOGAF and Archimate. The Workplace Domain Architect is also capable, as a generalist, of translating organizational goals and objectives and the established information architecture into technical architecture principles, standards, and guidelines. In doing so, the architect possesses and provides insight into the complexity of the provincial information provision. You are familiar with the organizational structures, work processes, information (flows), applications, and especially the technical infrastructure in their interrelationships, and can take into account aspects such as information security and management. Additionally, where possible, you contribute to projects that may extend beyond the workplace and backup.What will you be doing? As a Workplace Domain Architect, you will work within the Cloud & Platform Management team together with the other domain architects and landscape owners. This team is positioned within the ICT governance organization of the ICT Services program. You determine your work together with the Workplace Product Owner, who in turn also reports to the Digital Workplace Team Leader. You are independent and sufficiently knowledgeable to initiate projects and to develop and prioritize necessary designs and policies. You monitor adherence to policy and provide clear guidance on this. Deviations are formally discussed and recorded if permitted. You use specific methods, techniques, and tools in doing so. As a result, you are able to capture and document insights in accordance with standards. This applies to both the current and the desired environment.
