The YOBE STATE MINISTRY OF ENVIRONMENT in Nigeria from African region had released this tender for Expression of Interest are invited for Consultancy Services for Engagement of Focal Ngo on Project Sensitization, Social Mobilization of Acresal Project Sites The Federal Government of Nigeria has received a credit from International Development Association (IDA) toward the cost of Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) Project, and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for consulting services viz. Engagement of Focal Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) ref: NO YBS/ACRESAL/CON/CQ/05 in Yobe State. The NGO must have staff with expertise and advanced degrees earned in relevant fields including but not limited to Social sciences, environmental sciences, agriculture, engineering or humanities. Minimum experience should be seven (7) years with a minimum specific experience of five (5) years on stakeholder management, community mobilization, and agricultural development/livelihoods. The NGO must have competency and documented experience in community engagement and communication with Government institutions and other development donor agencies. The consultant(s) must have understanding of the Project area and have excellent knowledge of the local language. The consultant(s) must have a working knowledge of World Bank operational policies. For each previous assignment performed the consultant(s)/NGO must provide the name and contact address of the client (office & e-mail address, and telephone number), date of execution, name(s) of lead and associate firms, contract amount and sources of financing. The Yobe State Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-arid Landscapes (ACRESAL) Project now invites eligible Consulting Firms (Consultants) to indicate their interest in providing the services. Interested consulting firms are hereby requested to submit a statement of capability indicating relevant experience on similar assignments in Nigeria or elsewhere. This should include, but not limited to’ summary of CVs of its key staff, provision of company brochures, description of similar assignments carried out in the last five years, experience in similar conditions, availability of appropriate skills among key staff etc Consultants may associate with other firms to enhance their qualifications, but should indicate clearly whether the association is in the form of a joint venture and/or a sub consultancy. In the case of a joint venture, all the partners in the joint venture shall be jointly and severally liable for the entire contract, if selected.
