Engineering Design and Supervision Works of Prioritized Earth Dams Construction/Rehabilitation Sites with Small Scale Irrigation System

The ZAMFARA STATE (ACRESAL PROJECT) in Nigeria from African region had released this tender for Expression of Interest are invited for Engineering Design and Supervision Works of Six (6) Prioritized Earth Dams Construction/Rehabilitation Sites with Small Scale Irrigation System, And Five (5) Prioritized Gully Erosion/Flood Control Sites in Zamfara State SCOPE OF SERVICE Specific tasks include, but not limited to the following studies and design related to works. • Preparation of initial work, planning and scheduling; • Review, validate and verify the identified/prioritized sites based on the criteria given in the PAD and finalize the selection/prioritization as well as the FS, CN and DD (if any) reports; • Beneficiaries’ consultations; • Identify the root cause of the problem; • Conduct topographic surveys; • Hydrological studies; • Geotechnical (incl. construction materials) and soil investigations; • Alternate solution analysis and select the most optimal and mutually agreed upon solution or set of solutions leading into CN preparation; • Analyses to determine the appropriate set of infrastructures, including the associated watershed management interventions, based on the CN; • Hydraulic structure design; • Watershed-wide stakeholder consultations and information dissemination leading into consensus building; • Structural analysis; • Preliminary designs leading to feasibility-level cost estimates; • Feasibility studies (FS) report based on the consensus reached (minimum appraisal criterion) • Quantification of indicators in RF, as well as co-benefit of interventions; • DD; including engineering drawings • BEME; • Engineering cost estimates; and • Bidding documents. DURATION OF SERVICE All studies and final report and relevant documentation of Engineering Design of sites are expected to be completed within Fourteen (14) Months after contract signing.
