2. OBJECTIVE
The purpose of this RFP is to obtain VSAT services for Rigs sites and connectivity between Head Office and
Rig sites.
3. MAIN SCOPE OF WORK
1. The network topology for the VSAT network shall be STAR topology with Head office Kuwait
2. If few sites are not working for any reason then available bandwidth shall be shared among reaming
sites (TDMA Technology)
3. Connectivity shall be Private Network
4. Average connection Latency shall not increase more than 650
5. Contractor shall provide all the required equipment on the END-END basis
6. The contractor shall own all the equipment and will be responsible for any type of Mapproval, license,
maintenance, warrantee of equipment.
7. Contractor shall provide TRA radio license prior to commission the site and as it is required such as on
the rig move.
8. Installed remote terminal shall be capable to handle the requested bandwidth
9. Service monthly fees of entire solution shall include but not limited to supply, installation, License, dish
relocation, import duty, on-site and off-site
10. Contractor shall follow Full HSE regulation
11. Contractor shall have spared for all the supplied equipment in stock for support, in case of any
hardware failure
12. Contractor shall provide full monitoring access system where we will able to see link utilization,
latency and allow netflow access for monitoring tool
13. Supplier to provide On-line UPS of appropriate capacity for remote site VSAT equipment
14. Shall have right to use VOIP & Video Conferencing on VSAT link
15. All remote side shall have IPsec tunnel with Head office
16. QoS shall be configure for business applications
17. Contractor shall provide necessary networking devices such as router and switches for Head office and
