The main objective of this scheme is to recharge the ground water resources within the corresponding wadis where various palm plantations are presented. Enhancement in groundwater resources along the wadis will assist the local community in agricultural production and improve the quality of the groundwaterThe Permanent Works to be carried out under this Contract include:• Site clearance;• Excavate and process material from borrow areas for use in the works;• Construct earthfill dam and concrete spillway from aggregates won in the alluvial plain;• Construct concrete works for the spillway including stilling basin, ogee and walls• Construct all outlet facilities; including the control room above the intake tower.• Procure and Install pipes and valves for outlet works and drain collectors• Provide and install instrumentation, for monitoring purposes;• Provide and install all electrical related works, including approvals from service providers.• Commissioning and maintenance.• All other temporary and permanent Works as required under the contract, includingdiversion and relocation of a secondary asphalt road.
