Expression of Interest are invited for Pakistan Animal Protein Sector Analysis The Focus of this Work are Select Value Chains (Farm to Fork): (I) Beef; (Ii) Lamb and Mutton; (Iii) Poultry - Chicken; Turkey; Duck; And Other Bird. The Consultant’S Report shall Serve as a Basis to Design Meaningful Ifc Intervention with the Sector; Including1. Identification of Potential Domestic; Regional; And International Investees and Investment Opportunities along the Subsector Value Chain; 2. Preparation of an Extensive and Brief List of Potential Investment Opportunities for Ifc; 3. Assessment of Animal Protein Sector. More Specifically; The Study Outcome should Include but will not be Limited to the Following: 1. Identify Potential Investees* Identify Existing and Emerging/Potential Companies Involved in the Post-Farming Animal Protein Sector. 2. Prepare Extensive and Brief Lists of Potential Investment Opportunities for Ifc* Utilizing a Selection Criterion Developed in Consultation with Ifc; Create a Pool of 8-10 Potential Reputable Companies. * from this Pool; Shortlist 3-4 Specific Business Opportunities that Offer Investment Potential for ifc.extensive List* Ifc will Conduct its Own Internal Screening of the Proposed Longlisted Companies and Reserves the Right to Exclude Certain Companies from Further Consideration.* for Long-Listed Companies; Provide Detailed Information that Justifies the Application of the Set of Criteria; Including Their Structure and Shareholders; Businesses; Operations; Results; Locations; Investment Needs; Main Market; Competition with the Informal Sector if Any; Main Cost Drivers; Benchmark against Best in Class. Brief List* for Shortlisted Firms; Provide Detailed Information including Contacts to Key Decision Makers and Facilitate Establishment of the Direct Contact with Ifc. The Profiles shall Include the following but not be Limited To: - Name of the Company- Ownership Structure- Contact Number and Email- Company's Location; Address; And Website; If Any- Company's Background and History- No. Of Employees (Direct & Indirect)- Financials: Provide as Much of the following Basic Financial Information as Possible for each Company for the past Three Years; Including but not Limited to Total Investment; Total Revenue; Total Equity; Asset Revenues; Ebitda; Net Income; And Debt. The Largest Firms might Receive a Sizable Portion of the Income from Trading Operations. So; It is Important to Try to Get Indicative Information about the Ratio: Turnover of Manufacturing to Total Turnover.- List of Products Produced with Volumes for the Last Three Years.- Types of Products and Their Annual Sales Volume.- Customer Segmentation (Who are Their Significant Customers) and Sales Volume to each Customer.- Markets Covered Locally and Globally; If Any; With Volumes for each Market.- Distribution Mechanisms at the Provincial and International Levels - the Functioning of the Distribution Channels; Including Storage Options along the Supply Chain.- Level of Technology Adoption by each Manufacturer.- Operational Needs- Describe Capacity Issues- Provide Indicative Information about These Companies' Current Business Challenges; Their Financial Needs; And Growth/Future Plans. - Whenever Relevant; Provide Recommendations on the Areas in Which Companies could Benefit from Professional Advisory Support so that Their Operations could be Improved. - Identify External Hurdles Faced by the Producers; Including Export-Related Challenges. * Identify and Establish Connections with Other Stakeholders in the Agri Industry that are Essential for Successful Business Operations in the Animal Protein Sector.
