Digital transformation contributes to the pursuit of SDG 4 and, through a systemic approach, promotes the expansion of access to education through economies of scale and greater equity. It also supports SDG 8 increasing employment opportunities for young people by promoting the skills required by the fourth industrial revolution thereby increasing employment opportunities for young people. Furthermore, the rise of digital technology in the education and training sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic has had direct impacts on governments as well as TVET providers and partners. UNESCO Ramallah, as a lead agency for the SDG 4 in Palestine, supports Palestine in advancing the TVET agenda including digitalization. Currently, it implements the project “TVET4Future”, funded by the Government of Belgium through the Belgian Development Agency (Enabel), aiming to enhance youth TVET competencies. A main component of the TVET4Future project focus on bridging the gap between the supply and the demand in the labour market through the provision of accurate up to date information. In this regard, UNESCO has produced a project document and a policy framework on the development of the Palestinian Labour Market Information System (LMIS) and updated the National Occupations and Skills Forecasting Model 2022-2025..
