This study will quantify the demand for use of CR and WHR in Peru through first-hand interviews with producers and develop a methodology and estimation of new investment potential following the development of these instruments. This information will inform the potential design of an in-depth technical assistance program to facilitate the enabling environment for the use of digital CRs and WHRs in Peru to improve access to finance to agricultural producers; including small producers.The objective of the consultancy is to:1.Quantify the demand for financing using Digital Crop Receipts (CR) and Digital Warehouse Receipts (WHR) in sub-sectors identified as most suitable for these instruments;2.Develop a methodology and estimation of new investment potential using these instruments and the Financial Institutions (FIs) and Non-Banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs) in the market best-positioned to respond to this demand; and3.Gather and analyze industry-specific inputs through interviews to assess the private sector demand for CRs and WHRs as solutions for financial institutions and NBFIs to increase financing to agricultural producers; organizations and traders. The WBG reserves the right to publicly disclose contract award information, including but not limited to, name of company receiving the award, brief description of services, and contract award amount, for any contract award valued over US$250,000.
