The contract is financed from the donation agreement of 22 December 2025 concluded between the National Foundation for Environmental Protection with its registered office in Warsaw, as part of the project concerning the UNEP/GRID-Warsaw Centre and the Biebrza National Park for the purposes of the implementation of the project entitled "Space for Nature – Protection of Forest and Non-Forest Wetland Ecosystems in the Upper Biebrza River Basin, Biebrza National Park, and its Buffer Zone" from the Re:Generation Program. 4. The Ordering Party reserves the option right to commission the Contractor to transport the collected biomass (in whole or in part). The option right does not apply to work performed in the area of ​​​​2 subplots S2_1 and S2_2, for which all work is covered by the basic order. 5. The order within the scope of the option right is a unilateral entitlement of the Ordering Party. Failure to exercise the option right shall not give rise to any claims for compensation or financial damages on the part of the Contractor. 6. The Ordering Party will provide the Contractor with a declaration of exercise of the option right by 15 February 2027. 7. Active protection treatments that are the subject of the order include: a) under the basic (guaranteed) order: manual work: mowing of herbaceous vegetation with shoots, mowing of shoots, reduction of trees and shrubs, trimming of willow bushes to shape ecotones, and manual harvesting of biomass, as well as manual cutting of shrubs and tree undergrowth along the ditch and using the harvested biomass for its replanting, and, if necessary, removal of biomass residues. b) under the order covered by the option right: manual or mechanical loading using HDS and removal of biomass (in whole or in part). The option right referred to in letter b) does not cover work performed in subsurfaces S2_1 and S2_2. All work, including loading and removal of collected biomass, performed in these areas constitutes the scope of the basic (guaranteed) order. All types of works and implementation conditions are described in detail in section 4 of Annex No. 1 to the Technical Specifications. 8. The performance of protective measures specified in the description of the subject of the contract is primarily aimed at protecting nature within the meaning of the Act of 16 April 2004 on Nature Conservation (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2026, item 13). 9. The area of ​​the measures may be adjusted during the implementation of the task,to the nearest 1 are, with the correction not exceeding 5% of the maximum area of ​​the order. 10. The purpose of the planned conservation measures is to maintain and protect valuable peat bog communities and those related to them, including the Natura 2000 habitat alkaline fens 7230, as well as associated species of mosses, vascular plants, animals, and particularly birds of non-forest ecosystems. 11. The detailed purpose of the measures is to: 1) maintain peat bog habitats in a non-forest character by preventing the succession of tree and shrub species, 2) shape ecotones on the edge of open habitats, 3) preserve the semi-open character and mosaic structure of the habitat, 4) increase water retention and improve habitat moisture in the fragments directly next to and above the ditch landing site by initiating the processes of its silting and overgrowth. 12.
