The University of Silesia in Katowice in Poland from Europe region has released this tender for 1 The subject of the contract is the execution of construction works including demolition and the delivery and assembly of equipment and accessories necessary to perform the contract entitled Construction of the building of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre for Chemistry in Katowice divided into the basic scope of the contract guaranteed portion and the optional scope of the contract optional rights which may be implemented in whole or in part for each option Details regarding option rights are included in section 3 of this chapter and the contract template Appendix No 3 to the Specifications of Conditions of Contract Basic data of the facility a building area 3 973 80 m2 b total area 31 001 54m2 c usable floor area 11 029 63 m2 d cubic capacity 139 296 6 m3 e building height 33 m f number of floors 1 underground 7 above-ground 2 The subject of the contract has been divided into the basic scope and options Details are provided in the Specifications of Conditions of Contract 3 A detailed description of the subject of the contract and its scope are specified in the technical documentation Appendix No 2 to the SWZ consisting of the building design technical design and detailed design for individual disciplines and bills of quantities and in the technical specifications for the execution and acceptance of construction works decision number RBDEC 0195 2023 of the Mayor of Katowice of April 6 2023 granting a permit for the demolition of the building at Bankowa 12a Street the building at Bankowa 12b part of the connector to the building at Bankowa 12b Street Bankowa 12 including the gymnasium and swimming pool building structures and technical infrastructure decision number RBDEC 0132 2024 of the Mayor of Katowice of 08 03 2024 approving the construction design and granting a building permit for the building of the Silesian Interdisciplinary Centre of Chemistry together with other decisions opinions and agreements obtained during the implementation of the design works constituting together with the above-mentioned design documentation which documents together with the contract template Appendix No 3 to the SWZ should be considered together 4 The deadline for completion of the subject of the order basic scope any activated options is up to 26 months from the date of handover of the construction site provided that a the Subject of the Agreement in the part covered by option no 1 will be completed within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation b the Subject of the Agreement in the part covered by option no 2 will be completed within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation c the Subject of the Agreement in the part covered by option no 3 will be completed within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation d the Subject of the Agreement in the part covered by option no 4 will be completed within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation e the Subject of the Agreement in the part covered by option no 5 will be completed within a minimum of 12 months from the date of option activation The construction site will be handed over within 10 business days from the date of concluding the agreement 5 The Contractor will provide A minimum 60-month warranty for completed construction works The required warranty period for installed materials equipment etc no shorter than the warranty granted for the works and if the manufacturer s warranty is longer in accordance with the manufacturer s warranty The warranty period is consistent with the warranty period offered by the Contractor for completed construction works but not shorter than 60 months 6 The Ordering Party does not anticipate awarding contracts for similar construction works within the meaning of Art 214 Section 1 Item 7 of the Public Procurement Law 7 The Ordering Party hereby informs that no preliminary market consultations have been conducted 8 The Contractor whose offer is deemed the most advantageous will be required to provide a performance bond in the amount of 5 of the price for the basic contract excluding options indicated in the Contractor s offer prior to signing the contract 9 The Contractor undertakes to provide security for the proper performance of the Agreement in each case in the scope of works covered by the option right within 7 days from the moment of submitting by the Ordering Party a declaration on the activation of the option in the amount of 5 of the price resulting from the Contractor s offer appropriate for the activated option and in one of the forms permitted by the provision of Article 450 paragraph 1 of the Public Procurement Law with tender notice no. 666008-2026 published on 07 Oct 2026.
