Design and execution of works for the task entitled: "Installation of the ERTMS/ETCS level 2 system on railway lines no. 133 and 91, section Kraków Główny – Podłęże" as part of the project "Installation of the ERTMS system".

The PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. in Poland from Europe region has released this tender for 1. Implementation of the task entitled "Installation of the ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 system on railway lines No. 133 and 91, section Kraków Główny - Podłęże, will be carried out in a "design and build" system based on the Terms of Contract. The scope of the subject matter of the order includes the preparation of: 1) preliminary documentation, which includes: Design concept (line equipment concept); Principles for preparing design data; Operational Scenarios; Railway Traffic Management Rules (Updated Instruction on train traffic management using the ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 Ir-1b system); Test Cases; 2) design documentation necessary for the proper execution of all construction works and obtaining all required opinions, agreements, approvals, conditions, decisions and permits necessary to implement the subject matter of the order; 3) technical and operational documentation of the devices installed as part of the implementation of the task in question, developed in accordance with the requirements contained in the Ordering Party’s instruction Ie-100a “Conditions for the safe installation and operation of railway traffic control devices managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe SA”; 4) as-built documentation in accordance with the Building Law, including, among others, a as-built geodetic inventory; 5) all construction works in accordance with the scope of the order on the basis of the design documentation prepared by the Contractor and approved by the Ordering Party, referred to in point 1 above, and all preparatory works necessary to fulfill the scope of the Agreement and all activities required by Law; 6) conducting a conformity assessment of the “Control-Command and Signalling – Trackside Equipment” structural subsystem covered by the scope of the order at each stage (design and final tests of the subsystem); 7) obtaining a permit for placing in service of the structural subsystem – issued by the President of the Office of Rail Transport; In addition, the scope of the task includes the following optional orders: 1) Option No. 1 (Option Right No. 1): extending the scope of the task on railway line No. 91 to include the Kraków Bieżanów – Podłęże section, i.e. from km 10.918 (ETCS system boundary resulting from the scope of the basic task) to km 19.880 (boundary of the existing ETCS system), along with the implementation of the RBC – RBC Handover link (to RBC Tarnów). 2) Option No. 2 (Option Right No. 2): introducing changes to the ERTMS/ETCS Level 2 equipment installed and launched as part of this task, to the extent necessary to ensure the RBC – RBC Handover functionality with ETCS Level 2 equipment planned for installation on lines adjacent to the system installed under this order. The order covers the design and implementation of a range of leading sectors, including: railway traffic control, telecommunications, and electrical power engineering.
