Design, delivery, assembly, integration and commissioning of a demonstration energy storage installation using hydrogen technology as part of the project entitled Development of the Energy Cluster of Municipalities of Sokółka County – demonstration project

The Sokółka County – Sokółka County Board in Poland from Europe region has released this tender for The subject of the contract is the delivery of a complete demonstration energy storage facility utilizing hydrogen technology (hereinafter referred to as the "Energy Storage Facility"), including design, equipment delivery, assembly, integration, commissioning, and necessary associated works and services. The requirements for the energy storage facility are specified in Appendix 4 to the SWZ – Functional-Utility Program (hereinafter referred to as the "FUP"). The purpose of the energy storage facility is to produce hydrogen from electricity derived solely from renewable energy sources, store it, and subsequently convert the stored energy to electricity, enabling demonstration and operation of the system under real-world conditions. The primary location of the energy storage facility is ul. Torowa 12, 16-100 Sokółka, plot no. 3203/25, Sokółka district. The Ordering Party allows relocation of the entire hydrogen facility to another property at its disposal, within the Sokółka County and permitted by the KPO project documentation. The amendment cannot reduce the PFU and Bid parameters, nor change the function or overall nature of the order. The entire energy storage facility must be integrated into a mobile container structure that meets applicable transport standards. The delivery and installation of renewable energy sources, including the photovoltaic system, are not the subject of this order. The contractor will ensure full energy, functional, measurement, and control integration of the energy storage facility with the existing renewable energy source or one being implemented as part of a separate project. Energy used for hydrogen production, including through the BESS supporting this process, must come exclusively from renewable energy sources. On-grid mode does not allow the use of energy drawn from the grid to power an electrolyzer for hydrogen production. The purpose of the order is to create a fully functional pilot facility, enabling practical evaluation of the hydrogen energy storage system, verification of its technical parameters, and analysis of the effectiveness of integrating hydrogen technologies with the local energy infrastructure. The order will be implemented on a turnkey basis and covers all work necessary to achieve full operational readiness of the installation, including assembly, commissioning, functional tests and the provision of complete technical documentation. with tender notice no. 704514-2026 published on 13 Oct 2026.
