Implementation of a pilot study of mathematical competence tests and Polish language proficiency tests in the context of mathematics intended for primary and secondary school students

The Institute of Educational Research - National Research Institute in Poland from Europe region has released this tender for 1. The subject of the contract is the comprehensive organization and implementation of a pilot study of mathematical competency tests and a Polish language proficiency test in the context of mathematics, intended for primary and secondary school students. 2. The scope of the contract includes, in particular: recruiting schools, obtaining consent from school principals and parents/legal guardians of underage students, organizing and conducting testing sessions, ensuring organizational and technical conditions enabling students to complete the tests using the IT system provided by the Ordering Party, technical support for the study, ongoing monitoring of the trial, support for schools, providing rewards for participants, and preparing and submitting a technical report on the pilot study to the Ordering Party. 3. The pilot study includes two components: 1) pilot testing of mathematics tasks (two tests) – on a sample of no fewer than 5,500 students, including no fewer than 3,300 primary school students (no fewer than 1,100 students from grades 4, 6 and 8 each) and no fewer than 2,200 post-primary school students (no fewer than 1,100 students from grades 2 and 3 each); 2) pilot testing of a Polish language proficiency test in the context of mathematics (one test) – on a sample of no fewer than 450 students, including no fewer than 300 primary school students (no fewer than 150 students from grades 4-6 and no fewer than 150 students from grades 7-8) and no fewer than 150 post-primary school students from grades 1-3, maintaining the sample structure specified in Appendix No. 1 to the ToS – Description of the Subject Matter of the Contract (hereinafter referred to as the “ToS”). The Ordering Party allows for overlapping samples of both components under the terms specified in the ToS. 4.
