The investment objective "MULTIMODAL ELECTRIC BUS CENTER", Chitila city, Ilfov county", SMIS 353265, financed by PR 2021-2027, has an integrated character with the public transport (electric buses) acquisition projects currently carried out by UAT Chitila City and by carrying out the investment "MULTIMODAL ELECTRIC BUS CENTER", Chitila city, Ilfov county", SMIS 353265, the proper functioning of the newly purchased public transport vehicles will be ensured. The general objective of the project is to improve and modernize the infrastructure dedicated to ecological urban public transport, by creating a bus depot for electric vehicles in the city of Chitila, Ilfov County, in order to support the transition to sustainable and energy-efficient transport. The achievement of the general objective – the construction and operationalization of the Multimodal Center for Electric Buses in Chitila – involves achieving the following specific objectives, each correlated with a concrete and measurable result. OBS 1: Creation of a fully equipped bus depot for hosting, maintaining and operating a minimum of 21 electric buses in the city of Chitila. OBS 2. Increasing the use of ecological public transport by attracting a greater number of passengers, as a result of improving the transport conditions offered by electric buses. OBS 3: Reducing the environmental impact by supporting the operation of zero-emission public transport in the city of Chitila and increasing the attractiveness of using public transport. These objectives have the following results: R1: Bus depot built and functional, with an operating capacity for a minimum of 21 electric buses. R2: Auxiliary operational facilities within the bus depot: dispatch building, parking areas, technical areas, laundry, inspection ramps, etc. R3: Increase by at least 0.16% in the number of users in the first year of operation of the new bus depot (4852244 annual users of new or modernized public transport in the first year of operation of the newly built bus depot). R4: Decrease in GHG emissions by at least 4567 tons of CO2 equivalent/year as a result of the operation of electric buses hosted by the newly built bus depot.
