Terms of Reference for Facilitation of RTP Staff Training on Gender and Technology

The RIGHT TO PLAY RWANDA in Rwanda from African region had released this tender for Tenders are invited for Terms of Reference for Facilitation of RTP Staff Training on Gender and Technology Right To Play Implementing Plug-in Play (PiP) project which is a four-year project (2021-2024) aiming at improving the quality of education in Rwanda for primary school learners by learning through play with technology (LtPT) in 6 districts of Rwanda, reaching 310 public and government aided schools and 758SET subject teachers. This project will support the integration and use of LtPT in the teaching of SET subjects at upper primary level. The basic competencies, as identified by the SET curriculum and guided by the P4-P6 syllabus and relevant to this project include science, technology, ICT, digital competency, and numeracy. Further, the LtPT approaches will also be used to target the achievement of the generic competencies, as articulated in Rwanda’s CBC, namely: critical thinking, research and problem solving, communication, co-operation, intra- and interpersonal skills, creativity, and innovation. This will be guided by the SET syllabus for Upper Primary (P4-P6). Right To Play is a gender sensitive organization that aims to improve gender awareness among its staff and the community we serve. It is in this regard that Right To Play is recruiting an experienced individual consultant to lead RTP staff training on Gender and Technology. 3. Objectives of the consultancy 3.1 Avail gender and technology training manual 3.2 To build the capacity of RTP staff on gender sensitivity and responsiveness. 3.3 Enhance RTP staff’s knowledge of gender barriers related to technology use including Learning through Play with Technology and how to address them. 3.4 Improve ability of staff to mainstream gender in PiP project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
