The World Bank’S Sierra Leone Social Protection and Jobs Team Invites Qualified Firms to Submit Expressions of Interest to Conduct a Diagnostic Study to Assess the Demand For; And Supply of Childcare Services; Including Those that are Currently Used by Vulnerable and Low-Income Households. The Objective of the Diagnostic is to Understand the Childcare Arrangements Utilized by Vulnerable and Low-Income Households and the Constraints They Face with the View to Designing Policies and Programs (i.e.; Community-Based Childcare Pilot) to Improve the Accessibility and Quality of Such Services. The Diagnostic will Examine How Access to Childcare (or/and the Lack Thereof) Affects Primary Caregivers’ Participation in the Labour Market and Employment Programs. Based on These Assessments; The Ds should Present Recommendations for Developing Quality Childcare Options Which will Allow Low-Income Households To: (I) Improve Access to Childcare Services And; (Ii) Increase Access to Employment Opportunities and Higher Earnings for Caregivers.
