Wherever reference is made to any particular Trade Mark, Name, Patent, Design, Type, Specific Origin or Producer, such reference shall be deemed to be accompanied by the words "or equivalent". Allocation of Preference Points In order to qualify for preference points, it is the responsibility of the bidder to: Submit a duly completed MBD 6.1 form (bidders must indicate how they claim points for each specific goal). Submit documentary proof of updated BBBEE certificate/sworn affidavit and/or CIPC certificate with each RFQ submission to validate specific goals. (if a bidder is registered and active on the City#s Supplier Database and has submitted the BBBEE certificate/ Sworn affidavit/ CIPC certificate, the submission of said documents is not necessary). It is therefore incumbent on suppliers to ensure that documents are kept updated.
