The services under this consultancy include but not limited to: (i) Review and analyze the Mining Policy, Legal and Regulatory Frameworks currently operational in South Sudan’s mining and related sectors; (ii) Carry out comparative analyses of item (i) above, taking cognizance of regional/international best practices; (iii) Develop drafts of the Mining Policy, Strategic Plan, necessary legislative amendments to the Mining Act, 2012 and Mining Regulation 2015 taking cognizance of regional and continental vision and policy frameworks relating to Africa’s mining sector (such as the Africa Mining Vision and its Action Plan); (iv) Subject the drafts of the policy, strategic plan, ASM strategy and legal framework amendments developed to stakeholder validation; (v) Make a presentation of all the outputs to the Ministry of Mining.
