The Cercs City Council is the owner of the Sant Corneli Cinema-Teatre building, located on Carrer de l'Economat, s/n, in the center of Sant Corneli, at the municipal term of Cercs. The Cinema-theater of the Sant Corneli mining colony is an emblematic building for the mining community. Initially built as a theater and later used as a cinema, it is where most of the community's leisure activities are concentrated. Currently the building is cataloged as a Bé Cultural d'Interès Local (BCIL), BCIL no. 964-I, dated 04/13/2005. The improvement of the building consists of solving the accessibility problems in the ramps and access stairs and the toilets, fire safety and evacuation, energy efficiency along with the improvement of the existing climate and lighting, the replacement of the flooring in the room, the solution of the humidity problems in the north wall, the best acoustics and the new functionality of the altell to create a room for your veïns. The main actions planned for the project are the following:  Testing of the roof and forging of the altell.  Fire protection actions.  Replacement of the flooring in the main room.  Adaptation of the ramp and the bathroom to improve accessibility.  Renovation of lighting and electrical installations and installation of a flame protection system.  Actions to improve health, both the waterproofing of the wall and the improvement of ventilation.  Improvement of the acoustics of the main room.  Adequació de l'espai de l'altell for our uses.
