Tender Description:

The United Nations Interim Security Force in Abyei (UNISFA) hereby solicits Expressions of Interest (EOI) from qualified companies for the Provision of Catering Services at its Location in Kadugli, Sudan Description of General Requirements: 1. The UNISFA is looking to establish a long-term agreement with a qualified service provider for the provision of catering services at its Location in Kadugli, Sudan. 2. The Kadugli cafeteria serves National Monitors of the Republic of Sudan and the Republic of South Sudan for whom UNISFA bears the cost for three meals a day. The cafeteria also serves other non-contingent military personnel, civilian international staff and national staff on a on a “pay-as-you-dine” basis for meal choices consumed from the a-la-carte or set menu 3. The catering services shall include: 3.1 Provision of breakfast 3.2 Provision of a three (3) course open buffet at lunch time and dinner time. Each National Monitor’s meals i.e. lunch and dinner MUST have a soft drink or glass of fresh juice or bottle of water. 3.3 Provision of an à la carte, café and snack menu for all meals 3.4 Small snacks such as prepared sandwiches, salads and a variety of non-alcoholic drinks, cakes, coffee and tea during and outside normal meal times on a cash basis. 3.5 Provision of café services (tea, coffee, fresh juice, pastries, cakes, assorted snacks and non-alcoholic cold beverages) in the UNISFA passenger lounge at the Movement Control (MovCon) Air Terminal 3.6 Provision of catering services for UNISFA conferences, events and parties booked by UNISFA or its Personnel for special occasions with a 48 hour notice. The customers will pay for the services directly and if ordered by UNISFA, these services will be billed for separately. 3.7 The services shall also include packed meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) in quantities requested by the Mission, with a 24-hour notice 4. Contract duration: The resultant contract shall be for an initial period of three (3) years with an option of extension for two (2) additional periods of one (1) year each, subject to satisfactory performance of the Contractor, availability of funds and extension of UNISFA's mandate. 5. By nature of the services required, this requirement is limited to local and international companies in Sudan or international companies with existing joint ventures, subcontractors or subsidiaries in Sudan only. Such joint ventures, subcontractors or subsidiaries shall be subject to the UNISFA eligibility criteria for the requirement. Evidence of the joint venture or subcontracting agreement must be submitted with the REOI.
