1. The Request for Expression of Interest follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) published in UN Development Business Online and the website of the African Development Bank on 17th October,2022 and UNRA Website on 19th October 2022 respectively. 2. The Government of Uganda has received a loan from the African Development Bank towards the cost of the construction of Namagumba-Budadiri-Nalugugu Road Upgrading Project (39km) and intends to apply part of the agreed loan proceeds to payments under the contract for Consultancy Services for the Feasibility Study and Detailed Engineering Design of Kilak (Gulu)-Rhino Camp Road (100km). 3. The Gulu (Kilak)-Rhino Camp existing road starts at Kilak approximately 19.5 Km from Gulu City toward Atiak along the Gulu – Nimule Highway and traverses solely through the district of Amuru (through Amuru town) and terminates at Ofworo landing site at the Albert Nile. Currently, there is a Ferry crossing from Aboor Ferry Landing site (approximately 9 Km Southwest of Ofworo) on Amuru side to Rhino Camp consequently connecting the Northern region to the West Nile region. with tender notice no.
