Enable Smallholders to Expand Maize and Soybean Production; Increase Quality; And Access Pre-Financing to Buy Quality Inputs While Providing a Ready Market for Their Maize and Soybean.2. Provide Farmers with an Organized Digital Marketplace Where They can Sell Agricultural Produce and Buy Quality Inputs.3. Improve and Streamline Processes in Asili’S Commercial Farm to Accelerate Growth and Expand Production of Maize; Soybean; And Sunflower.4. Advise Asili on the Application of the Highest Standards in Land Acquisition and Involuntary Resettlement. The Objective of the Assignment: Ifc is Seeking to Engage a Consultant to Support Asili’S Implementation of a Digital Marketplace for 2 Years; To Ensure the Successful and Sustainable Delivery of a Transformational and Scalable Digital Marketplace for East Africa. The Project is Seeking to Engage a Firm to Resource; Equip and Support Asili to Implement the Digital Marketplace across the Region during the Start-up Phase of 2 Years. The Consultant will be Required to Identify and Second Adequate Resources; Functions and Roles; And Where Necessary Develop and Enhance These to Create a Fully-Fledged Management Function to Implement the Digital Marketplace. The Scope of Work will Include: Building onto Asili’S Extensive Experience in the Agriculture Ecosystem in Uganda and its Ongoing Transactions with Key Value Chain Actors; The Digital Marketplace is Set to Kick off as a Leading Marketplace in the Grain and Oilseed Value Chains that will Rapidly Expand Both within Uganda and Regionally within East Africa. Asili’S Digital Marketplace will Deliver an Interoperable and Fully-Fledged E-Commerce Platform Interfaced by Web and Mobile Applications for each Key Value Chain Actor (Producers/Farmers; Input Suppliers; Financial Institutions; Hub Traders; Grain Buyers); Crowding in Asili’S Existing Partners and Other Sector’S Key Players..
