The primary objective of this consultancy is to develop and implement a comprehensive surveyor training program that is in line with International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) guidelines, standards, and accreditation. The consultants will: 1. Ensure a comprehensive program consistent with GAHAR standards & compatible with ISQua requirements for accreditation, guidelines, and standards for surveyors by completing the following deliverables: a. Review GAHAR’s seven standards handbooks and develop a document outlining evidence that supports alignment with ISQua requirements for accreditation b. Develop the training program tailored to GAHAR standards. i. the training program should include agenda, training materials (PowerPoint presentations, case studies, small group activities, mock interviews, and tracer activities) ii. the training program should be centered around the advanced tracer methodology and should be two folds: theoretical (didactic) and onsite (practical). It should cover all the following topics: planning and preparation for a survey; team meetings and surveyor information sharing; differentiation of surveyor roles; document review; conducting a survey; leadership skills; report writing; quality management; post-survey activities; surveyor in-training competency evaluations; tips/toolbox for reviewing patients safety, surgery, medication; development of scenarios to be used in training with specific strategies and linkages to standards among other relevant topics. c. Review hospitals for tracers, identify tracers to be conducted, and assign tracer activities 2. Develop four training manuals tailored to GAHAR standards on the following topics: a. Soft & leadership skills, b. General surveying activities, c. Advanced tracer methodology, and d. A training of trainers (TOT) guide. The manuals should be holistic, tackling all aspects of the topics i.e., definitions, development, know how, practical exercises, etc. 3.
