The Common House in Værebo Park

The Gladsaxe Kommune in Denmark from Europe region has released this tender for Gladsaxe Municipality, Gladsaxe Almennyttige Boligselskab and DaB-Lejerbo want, as part of a new building physical master plan for the Værebro Park social housing department in Bagsværd, to establish a common neighborhood house centrally in the area. The house will function as an attractive meeting place, a local living room and gathering place for residents of Værebro Park and the surrounding Bagsværd. The common house will include, among other things, a library, workshops, meeting rooms, party rooms, laundry and a café. The overall vision for the area is to develop Værebro Park into an integrated part of Bagsværd. The goal is to break with Værebro Park's isolation from the rest of the city and bring together the whole of Bagsværd, so that citizens meet across the district, in the district's children's homes, schools, cultural and leisure facilities, etc. The building physical master plan intends to future-proof the housing department with a thorough renovation. The master plan is also intended to strengthen the green areas in the area as a coherent landscape with better path connections, more accessible nature experiences and attractions around the park. As part of the associated development plan, an investor will renew commercial and retail facilities and establish private rental housing.
