Allocation of book and press sales areas FKB pursues a dynamic and long-term strategy to implement the vision of a sustainable and future-proof airport as a meeting point for people from all over the world and a center for global logistics Since 2020 the terminals have been gradually restructured accompanied by the development of a modern stay concept As a result there is a clear separation between the Schengen and non-Schengen areas Terminal 1 is reserved exclusively for EU traffic while Terminal 2 is primarily intended for non-EU flights At the same time Cologne Bonn Airport is realigning its commercial space offering in order to better meet changing requirements and passenger flows The implementation of the duty-free concept with the so-called walk-through principle in Terminal 1 and the open marketplace in Terminal 2 fit seamlessly into the overarching stay concept The flow of passengers is directed specifically through the sales areas which not only increases the quality of stay but also optimizes commercial use The new catering concepts implemented by Autogrill consistently take up this open design approach and promote a seamless connection between consumption and gate areas A central element of the new design in Terminal 2 is the consistent opening of the areas the dismantling of previously closed walls and the abandonment of framed shop concepts create a transparent and inviting atmosphere The increased visibility of the offers contributes to better orientation and supports a relaxed airport experience At the same time the flexible spatial structures enable future-oriented adaptation to the changing needs of passengers and operators This creates a modern terminal environment that intelligently combines functionality cost-effectiveness and quality of stay In contrast Terminal 1 still has predominantly enclosed shop structures which create greater spatial separation However there are also successful open concepts here especially in the catering areas some of which are connected to the gate areas and integrated into the overall concept In addition the overarching stay concept is also being further developed in Terminal 1 elements such as the graphical representation of the Rhine for better orientation the design implementation of the star peaks to emphasize regional references and the introduction of new gate seating contribute to improving the quality of stay These measures mark a gradual transition to a more modern user-oriented design in this terminal area as well For the book and press convenience shops in both terminals Flughafen K ln Bonn GmbH is looking for an experienced operator who offers a contemporary range and is geared to the different needs of passengers The shops should fit into the existing stay concept and impress with a modern presentation and economically sustainable management What is important is a balanced product range availability of goods and a service-oriented appearance Digital solutions for sales promotion and customer service are expressly desired The area program including the list of services will be sent together with the request to submit an offer The shop areas listed in Table 1 below must be taken into account in the offer In addition to this area program FKB reserves the right to offer a possible potential area on the airside in Terminal 1 with an invitation to submit an offer The area would be available as an option if it were included in the area program and can be included by the bidders in their concept at their own discretion The following usage idea exists for this area Use as a retail area with additional product range retail convenience souvenirs regional products This area is not part of the assessment Confidentiality Agreement NDA To protect the confidentiality of the client s information in the procurement documents a confidentiality agreement NDA should be concluded To do this please use the document Confidentiality Agreement pdf which is available for download Please send a signed copy to the contact persons specified in the advertisement on the Mercell platform christoph hommelsheim cgn de In addition to checking the signed NDA Cologne Bonn Airport carries out a plausibility check as to whether the interested party has a legitimate interest in gaining access to the tender documents After successful verification you will receive access to the complete tender documents
