We are looking at a three-year contract with the opportunity for two additional one-year contract extensions on top of that. The contract has increased in size from the last contract with the inclusion of the Ashley Rakahuri and Waimakariri secondary stop-banks. What we need We are looking at the purchase of bulk mowing (approx. 100 ha amenity mowing, 27km of bollards and over 150km of stop-banks). This will all be encompassed into one single contract. The key outcomes that we want to achieve are: A. Amenity mowing areas are kept to their required standard. B. Stop-bank mowing areas are mown to ensure flood protection assets are maintained to the specified requirements. C. Once the contract is running, the contractor will understand what and when work is required and will not need reminders that grass is not meeting standards in certain areas. D. Contractors ensure all hazards and safety concerns are controlled in an appropriate manner. What’s important to us? We are looking for a contractor who saves us time. We want to be able to have our grass maintained without us having to follow up to say areas have not been mown or a low quality job has been completed. Based on this, we are looking for a contractor that has the people, machinery and systems in place to ensure the works are undertaken in an efficient and safe manner. Why should you bid? This is an excellent opportunity to set an example for yourself as a leading grass mowing contractor in the area due to the size and complexity of our mowing areas. Interested? What’s next?
