The TED - Waste disposal and recycling Zurich (ERZ) Hagenholzstrasse 110, Zurich in Switzerland from Europe region has released this tender for Zurich Waste Management and Recycling (ERZ) plans to establish a new, interactive education center at its Hagenholz site, focusing on the topics of circular economy and water protection. The education center (working title) will showcase and provide hands-on experience of ERZ's overall contributions to the city of Zurich, particularly in the areas of environment, circular economy, and water protection. The focus will be on providing visitors with practical knowledge and encouraging behavioral changes related to waste management, the circular economy, and water protection. The initial concept envisions an interactive, modern, and modularly adaptable education center. One section of the center (ground floor) will be designed as a city walk, highlighting ERZ's diverse contributions to a livable Zurich and imparting knowledge about circular economy, stormwater management, and water protection. The second section (upper floor) will guide visitors through a model Zurich apartment, demonstrating the scope for action visitors themselves can take to contribute to a more livable Zurich. This ensures the transfer of knowledge to the visitors' everyday lives and thus also promotes potential behavioral changes in daily routines. The concept is modular; stations along the city walk and in the apartment can be adapted or exchanged as needed. Information about current ERZ projects can be updated easily and quickly. The stations are self-explanatory; no guided tour is required. Virtual characters ("companions") accompany visitors through the exhibition. The exhibition will be implemented in existing premises at the Hagenholz site. This will require the dismantling of the current furnishings, certain wall and floor structures, modifications to the entrance, and the installation of new railings to make the premises available in the form required for the interior design of the exhibition.
