Overall project St. Anna-Strasse - Bellerivehöhe - Schlösslihalde

Tender Summary

The City of Lucerne, Environment and Mobility Directorate, Civil Engineering Office in Switzerland from Europe region has released this tender for St. Anna-Strasse to Schlösslihalde Project, Part 1: Section from the Schädrütistrasse/Schlösslihalde intersection to and including the Schlösslirain junction. This section of the project comprises approximately 490 meters. The Schlösslihalde and Schlösslirain bus stops are located along this section and will be made accessible for people with disabilities. To ensure the bus stop edges meet the required standards of the City of Lucerne, some of the edges will be repositioned, fitted with specially shaped curbs (special curb LU), and raised. The median islands will also be redesigned in an optimized position. At the Schlösslirain junction, the intersection geometry will be improved, and a standard-compliant pedestrian crossing will be constructed. The rear edges of the sidewalk will remain unchanged. The roadway width is approximately 9.10 m on straight sections. The sidewalks on both sides are now approximately 2.0 m wide. To maintain the existing road width, any additional space required where the roadway narrows will be taken evenly from the sidewalks. The renovation includes a complete replacement of the road surface. According to core samples and soundings, the foundation material is in good condition and only requires compaction. Part 2: Section from the Schlösslirain intersection to just before the Rigistrasse intersection. This section of the renovation comprises approximately 470 m. The Leumatt bus stop, including the turning loop and the roadway/sidewalk (approximately 130 m in total), has already been reconstructed. There are no other bus stops along this section. A median strip will be modified. The rear edges of the sidewalks will remain unchanged. The roadway width is 9.10 m on straight sections. The sidewalks on both sides are now approximately 2.0 m wide. To maintain the existing road width, any additional space required where the roadway narrows will be evenly distributed across the sidewalks. The renovation includes a complete replacement of the road surface. According to core samples and soundings, the foundation material is in good condition and only requires further compaction. Part 3: Section Rigistrasse junction – to Gundoldingenstrasse junction. This section of the renovation covers approximately 620 m. The Rigistrasse, Lützelmattstrasse, and Klinik St. Anna bus stops are located along this section and will be made accessible for people with disabilities. To ensure the bus stop edges meet the required standards of the city of Lucerne, some of them will be repositioned and fitted with specially shaped curbs (special curb LU) and raised. The median islands will also be redesigned in an optimized position. At the intersection of Rigistrasse and Klinik-St. Anna, the intersection geometry will be improved and a standard-compliant sidewalk crossing will be constructed. The rear edges of the sidewalk will remain unchanged. The roadway width will be 8.10 m on straight sections. The sidewalks on both sides will each be approximately 2.0 m wide.To maintain the existing road width, any additional space required where the roadway narrows will be evenly distributed across the sidewalk. The renovation includes a complete replacement of the road surface. According to core samples and soundings, the foundation material is in good condition and only requires compaction. St. Anna Hospital (ANNAplus: https://www.hirslanden.ch/de/klinik-st-anna/klinikportrait/annaplus.html) is being renovated concurrently. The work must be coordinated. In the hospital area, the installation of the water pipes will be brought forward to autumn 2026. The road construction will be carried out within the current framework, but as separate and independent construction phases, likely in 2029 (see construction program, phases 31/32) or at a later date depending on the hospital construction. Construction work * Paving including foundation layer and edge trims * 1x2 concrete bus stops (compliant with the Disability Equality Act) * 4x2 bus stops with concrete edge strips (compliant with the Disability Equality Act) * 2 pedestrian shelters (foundations provided by the client, shelters by third parties) and raising 1 existing pedestrian shelter * Intersection design / sidewalk crossings * Street design / reallocation of traffic areas (new location of edge trims) * New construction / adaptation of street drainage including connection to the main sewer line * Water lines: New construction of existing transport line and new construction / adaptation of distribution line (including renovation of house connection lines) * New construction / repair of sections of the gas line requiring renovation * New construction / repair of sections of the municipal drainage system requiring renovation * Adaptation of electrical conduit (including cable ducts) and lighting * Gerlisbergbach culvert.
